TIP Healthcare Overview

In-line with United Arab Emirates leadership vision, and the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 plan, healthcare is identified as one of the key strategic pillars. With a VISION to position Abu Dhabi as a center of excellence and innovation in Healthcare, the Department of Health (DoH) in partnership with the Department of Economic Development (DED), Abu Dhabi, are proud to announce the launch of the “TIP HealthCare Awards 2.0 Program”

The TIP Healthcare Award objective is to establish a sustainable world-class platform to encourage quality and competitive, healthcare innovation, on a global scale; by attracting innovators and entrepreneurs from all over the world and to stimulate innovation across a broad healthcare spectrum, ranging from medicines, biomedical devices, virtual and augmented reality, disease control, and the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

The Award, hosted under TIP (Technology Innovation Pioneer) initiative, is a vehicle which will undoubtedly boost innovation across industries, help spark creativity in science and technology amongst generations, and contribute to our vision of a “Healthier Abu Dhabi.”

The Department of Health Mission is bringing together global leaders and entrepreneurs in healthcare’s innovation, technology, and research to shape the future of the world’s health practice.

It will activate a research network across the nation that will position Abu Dhabi as a world-class hub for innovation in healthcare and life science, backed with attracting the most talented experts from all over the world.

Some of the current challenges faced today, in line with our current focus of TIP HealthCare Awards 2.0 Program”onstrategies for leveraging big data in the health care industry and assistive technology for people of disability:

Challenge 1
Assistive technology for people with disability: 
Enhance independence for people with disabilities through assistive technology includes process, devices   that is used to increase, maintain or improve functional capabilities of individuals with hearing, visually impaired, physical handicap and intellectual disability.

Challenge 2
Using big data in Healthcare: 
Transforming health care through big data through analyzing, mapping, manage, reduce, plan and generate result /value out of extreme volume, variety of information at high velocity and veracity. Healthcare analytical innovators adapt sophisticated approach to analytics; focus on prediction and prescription leverage big data to yield granular models.

Challenge 3
Child Obesity
: Ending the childhood obesity which attributed to genetic, behavioral and environment factors through promote intake of healthy foods and physical activity, preconception and pregnancy care, early childhood diet and physical activity and school age children health, nutrition and physical activity.
